Signing Up
- Why should I register?
- You need to register in order for us to find your best matched room buddy. This also speeds up the process when you find a suitable match and wish to make contact.
- Does this site use cookies?
- This site does make use of tempory cookies which are essential for using our site, the cookies are harmless and dont contain any personal information.
- How do I clear my cookies?
- Although it is possible to clear your cookies it will cause you to be signed out from the site. When you sign in a new cookie will be created.
- How do I add a picture to my profile?
- When you first sign up to the site you are given an option to add a picture. The picture must be JPEG and no bigger than 200k, if you wish to add a picture after sign up you can do so using "update your profile".

Using the site - general
- How can I change the information in my profile?
- When you have signed up and your are signed in, click on "update your profile", this is listed in the menu on the right hand side of the screen.
- I lost my password, what can I do?
- On the sign in screen of the web site is a link to a password reminder. Click on this link, enter your email address and your password will be emailed to you. You need to make sure that you use the password you signed up with.
- How can i find a room buddy?
- When you first sign-in to roombuddies.com it will display the ads which match the details you signed up with. If you would like to make a new search all you need to do is click on "basic search" or "advanced search" on the right hand menu.
- How can i save other peoples details?
- If you see a room buddy you would like to save all you need to do is click their remember button. Their profile will then be stored in your area, which you can access by clicking "saved rooms" on the top menu bar.
- How do I get a picture under my username?

- What areas do you cover?
- Roombuddies.com is dedicated to the UK market, and we cover all of the UK.
- I dont have a credit card, do you have other methods of payment?
- As well as credit/debit cards you can pay via PayPal which allows you to transfer money from your bank to make payment. Unfortunately we do not accept cheques.
- What is full membership?
- You can place you advert for free on roombuddies.com. As a Basic member you can send messages to Premium members and they can also contact you. To contact Basic members you will need to subscribe as a Premium member. This is your choice, but many people enjoy great success as a Basic member.
- How do i get full membership?
- If you click on "upgrade to full membership" you will be given 4 upgrade options (depending on how long you need it for). Select the option suitable for you and click pay, you will then need to enter your credit card details. As soon as you have paid you will have full membership access to the roombuddies.com site.
- Can i delete my listing or subscription?
- Roombuddies.com does not delete accounts unless inactive for a long length of time. If your ad is no longer needed then just click the "disable you ad" button on the right hand menu. This will stop your ad being shown on the site, but keeps all the details just in case you need a room buddy in the future at any point.
- Someone has contacted me but i can not read their message, why?
- If you are a free (Basic) member, and you are being contacted by another Basic member you will not be able to read their message. In order to read a message from Basic members you will need to become a paid Premium member, however if you contact (or are contacted) by a Premium member you will be able to read their messages and reply without restriction.
- Do i have to be a paid member to send and/or recieve messages?
- No free members can send or recieve messages, but if you are a free member, only paid members will be able to read your messages and you will only be able to read messages from paid members.
If you get a message from a free member you will be notified of this and be given the option to upgrade.
- How can i make sure i get the best match?
- In order to get a match nearest what you want, please enter as many details as you can and be as specific as you can. If no matches are showing then start to set some of the settings to "not important" in order to see broader matches.
- Do i need an email address to use the web site?
- Yes :) , if you dont currently have an email address you can get a free one from google by going to www.gmail.com
- How will i know when i have a new message?
- The top bar will display a message saying "1 new message", clicking on this link will take you to the message centre. Roombuddies.com will also send you emails when you get new messages.
- How much does it cost to use the site?
- You can post your advert on roombuddies.com for free, you only need to become a paid member if you need to send/recieve messages from other paid members. This will typicaly only occur when a potential room or roombuddy has been found.
- I just want to search for a room buddy. Why do i have to create a profile?
- You need to create a profile, as we use peoples profiles to match you with other roombuddies.
- How do i change my username or password?
- Your username (which is your email address) and password can both be changed by editing your profile. You can edit and update your profile by clicking on "My profile" on the top menu or "update your profile" on the right hand menu.
