Alternative letting ideas

If you don't fancy renting your spare room out for most of the year, but like the idea of making a little extra income a few times a year then here are some alternative ideas for you.

This list only scratches the surface of the possibilities and we would recommend you doing more research if this is something which appeals to you.

Music festivals - all of UK

There are a large number of music festivals in the UK that span 2 or more days, such as the Glastonbury, Reading Festival and V Festival.  Most people who attend the festivals are more than happy to bunk up in a tent and walk through the mud with a grin on their face.  There are however more and more people attending the festivals who prefer their creature comforts.

Wimbledon championships - London

The Tennis Championships at Wimbledon is a massive highly professional tournament attracting a crowd of close to 500,000 people.  Players from over 60 nations regularly compete in front of millions of people worldwide.

Thousands of people flock to London during the championships which go on for two weeks in the summer.
The Wimbledon Championships will take place in June and July each year.

Edinburgh Festival - Scotland

The Edinburgh International Festival runs over a three-week period in late summer each year.  The festival presents a rich programme of theatre, dance, classical music and opera in six major concert halls and theatres, and also a number of smaller venues.

People travel from all over the world and hotels book up fast in the run up to the festival so there is plenty of opportunity here.
