Halls of residence

University provided accommodation, normally set aside for first year students.

Housing in multiple occupation (HMO)

A HMO is a property occupied by more than one household and more than two people.

House

A building in which people live.

Houseboat

A barge like boat that is converted into a residency.

Housemate, housemates, house mate, house mates

A person or people that a tenant shares a house with.

Houseshare,  house share,  houseshares,  house shares

A house that is shared by more than one person.

Housing benefit (HB)

Financial support given to people by the government to help with paying all or part of rent.
