By registering for an account with roombuddies.com, you enter into a contract with us Room Buddies (Part of E-Commercial Enterprises LTD) on the following conditions, which includes conditions limiting our liability and relating to our use of your personal information. This contract is just for the use of our web site and separate to any arrangement you may have with any other organisation for providing internet services.
Definitions
The following words marked in bold will have specific meanings in this contract.
'cancel' - Cancelling your account means this contract ends. Your account and all data will be deleted and will no longer work as part of a website.
'consumer' - You are a consumer you could be an individual, business, trade or profession.
'account' - An account is a free or premium account held between the consumer and room buddies.
'personal data' - Any information about an identifiable living person (for example, your name, address or phone number).
'we', 'us', 'our' - Room Buddies (Part of E-commercial Enterprises LTD)
'you', 'your' - The person who is entering into this contract with us and who the account will be registered for.
What we will do
Room Buddies is a web site set up for the purpose of matching compatible room buddies.
Our site has been created so that all matches will be matched as exact as possible based on the given criteria and stored room buddies.
This includes (among other things):
" Processing your application to register a new account.
" Matching criteria to find you the best match possible
" Maintaining overall membership
" Processing upgrades to membership
What you must do
You have various responsibilities set out generally in this contract. You must also give and keep us notified of your correct name, e-mail information You must also make sure that all information you supply in relation to your account is accurate and not misleading in any way.
Information on the site
We do not endorse any of the listings on our site; we do not make any representations as to individual character, credit rating, rental or credit history or a persons ability to pay rent or provide accommodation. We encourage people to report suspect profiles on our web site which we will thoroughly investigate.
We can not be held responsible for any events that transpire through use of our service. It is your responsibility to determine the character and trustworthiness of any prospective tenant or landlord.
Fees and payment
Creating a profile on roombuddies.com is free of charge. This free service will allow you to post your profile on the site, read other people's profiles and send messages to other site members. Messages sent to other free members will be unread unless either you or the other free member upgrade to a paid account.
In order to have full use of our messaging services you will need to become a paid account member for which a subscription fee is payable. For a layout of our fee structure for paid accounts please see the upgrade page of our web site.
Once the subscription period has lapsed your account will automatically revert back to the basic free service.
All payments should be made via credit card or debit card and will be processed by Roombuddies and our merchant services.
Personal data
We will not make your personal data available to any third parties for more information please see our privacy policy.
Cancelling or altering an account.
We may cancel your account or put it on hold if :
" We receive independent proof that you have provided significantly inaccurate, not correct, unreliable or false information on your account.
" You have broken any part of our agreement
" We receive sufficient proof that your account is being fraudulently
We may (but do not have to) cancel, alter or amend your account at any time.
The internet is constantly changing and developing. As a result of this, we reserve the right to make reasonable changes to the terms of this contract at any time during the term of the contract. We will only do so when we have good reason. Unless we are acting because of a legal requirement or a court order, the change will only be made after we have consulted publicly. We will publish a notice in advance (ideally, 30 days in advance) on our website and provide a link from the main page. The changes will apply from the date shown in the notice. You should visit our website regularly to find out about any changes. If you do not agree with any change to the conditions, you may notify us that you want to end the contract in at least 30 days' time. In this case, we will give you a proportionate refund of the registration for the remaining period.
This contract is a legally binding document. You should read it carefully and make sure that it contains everything you want and nothing you are not prepared to agree to.
